Title: Area Vice President â Pharmacy OperationsLocation: Atlanta, GAPOSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for the overall leadership, management and financial profitability of each pharmacy located in the region. Implements policies and procedures and oversees the performance improvement process for each pharmacy located in the region. Provides detailed reports of the goals and measures of each pharmacy in the Focus and Execute format. Participates in budget preparation. Supports Pharmacy Managers in day to day operation of the pharmacy. Enhances customer service and company growth objectives through the development and maintenance of long term customer relationships. Collaborates with Sr. Vice President, Directors, and Clinical Managers to coordinate and implement clinical activities within the pharmacies. Mentors Pharmacy Mangers and leadership to help them grow professionally and improve their performance. Support divisional sales and marketing efforts. Serve as part of the Executive Operations Team (EOT) to plan for short and long range changes to keep pharmacies progressing to meet current and future needs and trends.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implements and enforces policies and procedures promoting cost-effective, appropriate and safe medication use. Oversees administration of competence assessments for all pharmacy employees. Participates in development of budget for each pharmacy location. Manages an effective budget. Uses workload statistics to help guide pharmacy productivity and safety Provides detailed reports relating to financial and operational targets. Provides accurate financial analysis of business. Monitors contract compliance and purchasing habits of individual pharmacies/drives operational efficiencies. Recommends resources needed for pharmacy locations including justification details. Implements pharmacy quality improvement activities. Works with pharmacy leaders to maintain customer accounts. Facilitates knowledge sharing between supervisory, pharmacy, and support staffs. Participates in informational and social meetings with pharmacy and corporate members, physicians and customers. Maintains active membership in national, state and local pharmacy organizations. Communicates efficiently and effectively with the Executive Operations Team, direct reports, and other members of PruittHealth Pharmacy Services and PruittHealth. Frequently visits pharmacies in assigned region. Encourage, support, lead and have a caring attitude toward direct and indirect employees. Evaluate pharmacy disaster preparedness and address any issues to assure compliance. If shortcomings are noted in policies, bring these to the EOT for discussion and alteration.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Licensure as Registered Pharmacist in one or more of the states in which pharmacies operate. â GA, NC, SC, FL Board Certified as Geriatric Pharmacist (CGP) encouraged. Graduate of ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy. 5+ years' experience as an LTC pharmacy manager or greater position preferred. Long Term Care pharmacy industry experience required. Home Health, Retail, Hospital in addition to LTC helpful. Ability to develop and implement operational plan in alignment with strategic objectives supporting mission and vision of the organization. Ability to maintain current accounts and contribute to significant growth in market share. Ability to implement staff development plan to meet budget goals and ensure partner competence and satisfaction. Ability to implement and oversee a program that improves the quality of pharmacy services in alignment with the quality improvement plan of the corporation. Ability to establish productive, collaborative relationships with the pharmacy and corporate communities. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
