Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, receives, verifies, and enters prescription orders into the pharmacy computer application; processes refill requests; answers telephone and serves as liaison with customer healthcare centers. Assists with processing of prior authorizations and third party payor medication rejections.Education/Certification Requirements: High School diploma or GED Preferred to be a current Certified Pharmacy Technician with a National technician certification but not required. Would need to agree to get certified. 3 years pharmacy experience highly preferred.Other Characteristics, Skills and Knowledge Requirements (preferred but not required): Energetic, goal-oriented and a desire to learn and grow professionally. Typing/keyboard knowledge.
